About the role
Netcare Sunward Park Hospital is looking for a Pharmacist Intern to join their pharmacy team. This is a full time position based at the hospital and is ideal for a pharmacy graduate who is ready to gain practical workplace experience.

Requirements
- Must be a pharmacy graduate who has completed a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree
- Registered as a Pharmacist Intern with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medication
- Good communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare staff
- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions from supervising pharmacists
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a hospital pharmacy setting
Responsibilities
- Assist registered pharmacists with dispensing medications to inpatients and outpatients
- Help manage pharmacy stock including receiving, storing and monitoring medication levels
- Provide friendly and professional service to patients collecting their medication
- Support the pharmacy team with administrative tasks and record keeping
- Follow all hospital and pharmacy protocols for safe medication handling
- Learn about drug interactions, dosages and proper counselling of patients
- Maintain a clean and organised pharmacy workspace
