Paracon is looking for an experienced Oracle EPM Cloud Functional Consultant to join a strategic Finance Transformation Programme in Pretoria. You will work closely with Finance stakeholders and implementation partners to deliver Oracle EPM Cloud solutions across consolidation, planning, reporting and data integration. This temporary full time role is ideal for someone who can bridge the gap between business needs and technical delivery while ensuring strong financial governance.
About the role
Our client is seeking an experienced Oracle EPM Cloud Functional Consultant to support a strategic Finance Transformation Programme. You will work closely with Finance stakeholders, business process owners, project teams and implementation partners to deliver and support Oracle EPM Cloud solutions.
This role covers Financial Consolidation, Financial Planning and Analysis, Reporting, Data Integration, Testing and Go Live activities. It is a great opportunity for a professional with strong Oracle EPM Cloud experience who can bridge the gap between business requirements and technical delivery while ensuring robust financial reporting, planning, consolidation and governance processes.
This is a temporary full time position based in Pretoria, Gauteng. Only candidates with the required Oracle EPM Cloud experience will be considered.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Oracle EPM Cloud, including FCCS, EPBCS, Narrative Reporting, Smart View, Data Management or Data Exchange, and EPM Automate
- Solid understanding of financial consolidation, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), financial reporting, statutory reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and management reporting
- Proven ability to gather and analyse business requirements, translate them into functional solutions and support process mapping and gap analysis
- Experience with data mapping, data integration, data migration, reconciliations and solution design
- Skilled in functional specifications, testing and defect management, impact assessments, workshop facilitation and business analysis
- Strong stakeholder engagement and delivery skills, including UAT support and project governance
- Experience managing RAID logs and documentation management
Responsibilities
- Engage with Finance stakeholders to gather, analyse and validate business requirements
- Translate business requirements into fit for purpose Oracle EPM Cloud solutions
- Support current state and future state process mapping and gap analysis
- Configure and validate Oracle EPM artefacts such as metadata, dimensions, business rules, data forms, Task Manager workflows, dashboards and reports
- Support configuration across FCCS, EPBCS and Narrative Reporting
- Develop configuration workbooks, design documentation and mapping specifications
- Support the design and development of financial, management, statutory and executive reports
- Participate in agile build cycles and playback sessions with implementation partners
- Capture feedback and support solution refinements
- Perform impact assessments on change requests and enhancements
- Support planning, estimation and implementation of new requirements
- Maintain detailed technical and functional documentation
- Prepare solution designs, interface specifications and change impact assessments
- Support integrations between Oracle EPM Cloud and Oracle EBS, General Ledger, sub ledgers, SAP, JD Edwards and flat file sources
- Support EPM Data Management and Data Exchange processes
- Assist with historical data migrations and reconciliations
- Validate actuals, budgets, forecasts and consolidation data
- Support automation of data loads, environment refreshes, system backups and reporting processes using EPM Automate and related tools
- Execute unit testing, support System Integration Testing (SIT) and assist business users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Create test scenarios and test cases, log and manage defects through resolution
- Support deployment readiness activities and assist with cutover planning and execution
- Participate in post go live stabilization and hypercare support
- Collaborate with PMO teams, architecture teams, security teams, finance stakeholders and Oracle implementation partners
- Support governance activities within the EPM workstream
- Ensure segregation of duties and data protection principles are maintained
- Manage RAID logs including risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies
- Support knowledge transfer and documentation for internal support teams
- Maintain audit ready documentation and operational artefacts
