About the role
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for an Online Picker at their Parow store. You will be part of the team that keeps the Click and Collect system running smoothly by making sure every online order is picked and packed correctly and ready for the customer when they arrive.
What you will be doing:
- Pick and pack online orders according to the picking slip so customers receive exactly what they ordered.
- Keep accurate records of all Click and Collect orders that are received picked packed and released.
- Report out of stock items and any system issues to the Online Administrator.
- Help with weighing and shipping orders and move parcels to the storage area.
- Assist with loading boxes into courier vehicles when needed.
- Solve customer queries quickly and inform management about any discrepancies.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or Matric certificate
- At least 1 year of experience in a relevant retail environment
- Computer literate with MS Office and internet browser administration
- Interpersonal skills and strong communication with active listening
- Customer service orientated with attention to detail
- Problem solving skills and quality focused
- Patient honest trustworthy with good time management and accountability
- Self managed and able to work retail hours
- Reliable transport
- South African citizen with clear credit and criminal records
- Bilingual and basic understanding of online shopping in South Africa would be an advantage
- Physically able to walk stand kneel push pull lift and move objects with repetitive bending
Responsibilities
- Assist the Online Administrator with accurate records of all Click and Collect orders received picked packed and released to customers
- Report any system issues following Dis-Chem standard operating procedures
- Report out of stock lines to the Online Administrator
- Ensure all orders are correctly picked and packed according to the picking slip to avoid customer discrepancies
- Make sure customer orders are ready for collection before the customer visits the store
- Execute all purchases based on standard and consistent Dis-Chem operating procedures
- Maintain operational standards throughout the picking and packing process
- Assist with weighing and shipping of orders
- Transfer shipped parcels into the storage area and assist loading boxes into courier vehicles when requested
- Resolve customer queries in the fastest most appropriate way possible
- Inform management of any customer discrepancies as soon as possible to enhance customer satisfaction
