About the role
As the On-Site Security Guarding Manager, you will be the hands-on leader overseeing security operations and personnel at a client site in Benoni. Your day to day will involve coordinating guard duties, compiling and managing duty rosters, and ensuring all employment administration like contracts and supporting documents are in order.
You will supervise and support security staff, monitor attendance, discipline, and performance, and step in to resolve operational challenges as they arise. Building and maintaining a strong professional relationship with the client is key, as is investigating and reporting incidents accurately and on time. You will also prepare weekly and monthly operational reports and make sure the site complies with company policies, client requirements, and security industry regulations.
Requirements
- Valid PSIRA Grade A registration
- At least 5 years experience in a similar role, preferably in the private security industry
- Proven managerial experience in security operations
- Valid business firearm competency
- Valid drivers licence and own reliable transport
- Police clearance
- Proven experience in incident reporting and professional report writing
- Experience compiling and managing monthly duty rosters
- Knowledge of employment-related administration, including contracts and supporting documentation
- Strong client liaison and customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines
- Advantageous: Valid First Aid certificate, Basic Firefighting certificate, additional business firearm competency
