Oil Analysis Specialist - Mining Yellow Machines
GOLD HR & Recruitment Solutions
Overview
A mining client is looking for an Oil Analysis Specialist to join their maintenance team. You will review fluid analysis results, spot early signs of wear or contamination, and recommend practical maintenance actions. This role helps protect fleet availability and component life by making sure findings are followed up and closed out. It is a great fit for someone with oil analysis experience who enjoys troubleshooting and condition monitoring in heavy mining equipment.
About the role
As an Oil Analysis Specialist, you will play a key role in keeping heavy mining equipment running safely and reliably. Your main focus will be on reviewing and interpreting fluid analysis results to catch wear, contamination and developing failure risks before they become major problems. You will validate sample details, request resampling where needed, and classify results by severity. From there, you will issue clear maintenance recommendations to site teams and communicate critical findings immediately, recommending inspection, restriction or stoppage where required.
You will also manage the sampling program, keeping standards, schedules, sample points and site compliance on track. Monitoring trends across machines, components, models and sites will help you identify recurring risks and improvement opportunities. You will support root cause investigations, warranty claims, OEM discussions and supplier reviews with fluid analysis evidence. Keeping accurate records and reporting tools up to date is important, as is preparing regular reports on sample compliance, severity trends, critical findings and overdue actions. You will provide technical guidance to site teams on sampling practices, contamination control and condition monitoring requirements.
