About the role
As the Night Shift Production Manager at Coricraft's Epping factory, you will be at the heart of the furniture manufacturing process. Your main focus will be making sure production runs smoothly during the night shift, hitting output targets while keeping quality, safety and costs in check.
What you will be doing:
- Managing daily production activities to meet output, quality, delivery and cost targets
- Coordinating production schedules, staff, materials and machinery to support efficient furniture manufacturing
- Monitoring production output, product quality, equipment use and waste against set standards
- Supervising and supporting production employees by allocating work, giving direction and handling routine concerns
- Identifying delays, quality issues and process inefficiencies, then implementing corrective actions
- Coaching staff through on the job training, skills transfer and performance feedback
- Preparing accurate production, quality and attendance reports for management
- Maintaining compliance with health and safety, housekeeping and company policies

Requirements
- Diploma in Production Management, Operations Management, Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a production, manufacturing or operations environment, including supervisory or team coordination duties
- Experience in a manufacturing environment involving assembly, joinery, carpentry, furniture production or conversion processes
- Working knowledge of production planning, workflow management, quality control and productivity improvement
- Understanding of furniture manufacturing processes, materials, machinery and production flow
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices would be an advantage
- Working knowledge of the Labour Relations Act (LRA) and people management practices
- Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) legislation and safe work practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production or manufacturing reporting systems
- Strong problem solving, planning, coordinating and people management skills
