Success Guide
Hey there. If you are a newly qualified CA(SA) who passed both boards first time, this role is worth a serious look. The company is specifically looking for someone moving from audit or practice into a commercial environment, so you do not need industry experience. Your CA(SA) qualification and first time board passes are the big things here, so make sure those are front and centre on your CV.
When you apply, highlight any exposure you have had to management accounts, budgeting or financial analysis during your articles. Also show that you understand the retail or wholesale space, even if it is just from a client you audited. In the interview, be ready to talk about how you think commercially and where you see yourself growing in a finance team. Show ambition and a real interest in the business, not just the numbers.
Make sure your CV clearly states your SAICA board results and the date you completed articles. Good luck.
