Success Guide
This is a senior engineering management role, so your application should show more than technical knowledge. Highlight your GCC Mines and Works ticket, your experience on a platinum concentrator or process plant, and any planned maintenance systems you have implemented.
Because the role carries legal responsibility under the Mine Health and Safety Act, show that you understand safety compliance and how you have led teams through it. Give examples of budgets you have managed, spares you have controlled, and breakdowns you have resolved.
Also be clear about where you live. The client wants someone based near Steelpoort, Burgersfort or Lydenburg, so mention your location early in your CV or cover letter.
In interviews, expect questions on root cause analysis, maintenance planning and how you manage artisans and foremen. Prepare a practical example of a plant optimisation you drove and the results it delivered.
