About the role
What you will be doing
You will manage the Spares and Services Department for a company that deals with mining processing equipment such as vibrating screens, crushers and feeders. Your day to day will involve overseeing costing, quoting and processing of customer spare part requirements. You will also drive repair requirements, equipment refurbishment and customer field service requests.
You will be responsible for expediting sales orders and monitoring collections and deliveries. Developing strategies to reduce downtime for clients through rapid spare part deployment is a key part of the role.
You will lead a team of 6 technical and commercial staff and support 5 Sales Engineers. Managing the Field Services teams is also in your hands. You will negotiate, implement and maintain customer supply agreements, and manage equipment maintenance budgets and life cycle costing.
This position is based in Krugersdorp and reports to senior management. It is a full time, on site role.
Requirements
- 10 or more years of experience in the mining industry, working with processing equipment
- Experience with vibrating screens, crushers, feeders and similar equipment
- Hands on experience in spare parts management, supply chain or after market service
- Technical knowledge of screening equipment and components
- Experience in inventory management, vendor relations and logistics
- Advanced Excel skills (Excel Super User)
- Strong management and leadership abilities
