About the role
Goldi, a division of Astral Operations and one of South Africa's leading integrated poultry producers, is hiring a Millwright for their engineering and maintenance team in Standerton. You will report to the Engineering Shift Foreman and play a key role in keeping their high-speed processing and slaughtering lines running safely and efficiently.
In this role, you will combine your mechanical and electrical skills to attend to breakdowns, perform routine and scheduled maintenance, and carry out planned and preventative maintenance inspections. You will also manage subordinates on your shift. The work is hands-on and critical to minimising downtime in a fast-paced food processing environment.

- Minimum N3 qualification
- Valid Millwright trade certificate
- At least 3 years' experience in planned routine and preventative maintenance
- Computer literate
- Self-motivated and self-disciplined
- Own reliable transport
- Sober habits
- Must adhere to all relevant industry regulations
- Willing to work overtime, shifts, weekends and public holidays
- Food processing industry experience (advantageous)
- Refrigeration plant room experience (advantageous)
- Scales or electronic experience (advantageous)
