Success Guide
This is a senior hands on role, so your application needs to prove two things quickly: your electrical trade test and your 10 or more years of post apprenticeship experience. In your CV, list the types of FMCG machines you have maintained, the PLC and VSD systems you have worked on, and any examples where you found the root cause of a repeat breakdown. A short cover letter that explains how you have improved equipment reliability or reduced downtime will help you stand out. During the interview, expect technical questions about fault finding and safety procedures, and be ready to talk through how you manage spare parts and work with external contractors. Also prepare an example of how you have coached other team members, because the role includes developing peers.
