About the role
Our client, a leading manufacturing organisation with more than five decades of history, is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join its finance team in Johannesburg North. This role goes beyond traditional accounting. You will work closely with divisional managers, providing financial insights that support efficiency and informed decision making.
You will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, divisional income statements, and executive reporting packs. You will also analyse operational performance, investigate variances, and identify cost saving opportunities. The position involves budgeting, forecasting, annual target setting, and presenting financial reports to management.

Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- BCom Accounting and BCom Honours
- CIMA Qualified
- Minimum 5 years of Management Accounting experience
- Strong costing and management accounting knowledge
- Financial reporting and reconciliations experience
- Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and MS Office
- JDE experience advantageous
- Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle
Responsibilities
- Prepare, capture, and process month end revenue and cost transactions
- Produce accurate monthly management accounts and divisional income statements
- Compile and deliver executive reporting packs
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations and investigate variances
- Analyse operational performance and identify cost saving opportunities
- Partner with divisional managers by providing meaningful financial insights
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and annual target setting processes
- Prepare and present financial reports to management
- Support continuous process improvements across the finance function
