Success Guide

This role is for an admitted Attorney who already has courtroom mileage, so your application needs to show that clearly. When you send your CV, lead with the types of matters you have run yourself, especially RAF, unlawful arrest and medical negligence files, and name the courts you have appeared in.

Have your admission certificate and Right of Appearance documentation ready, because the firm will want to confirm you can appear in the High Court without supervision. Also be ready to talk about how you manage a heavy caseload, brief experts and keep clients updated under pressure. A short covering note that points to two or three complex matters you handled from start to finish will do more for you than a long list of duties.
