About the role
Join a leading Australian real estate brand without leaving South Africa. As a Landlord Relationship Manager, you will be the first point of contact for property owners looking for someone to manage their investments. Your main goal is to build trust, understand their needs, and sign them up for management agreements.
You will work remotely, Monday to Friday, from 04:30 to 12:30 SAST. The role starts with a focus on lead management and prospecting. As you complete your fully sponsored Australian Property Management Certificate, you will move into a closing role where you negotiate terms and finalise agreements. You will also create simple sales materials, follow up consistently, and keep detailed records in the CRM.
Important application note: This is an independent contractor position. You must have your own reliable laptop, stable internet, and a quiet home office. The company will sponsor your Australian licensing, but you need to be ready to start training within 4 to 6 weeks.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in business development or sales with a proven ability to close deals independently.
- Willingness to complete the funded Australian Property Management Certificate (CPP41419) within 4 to 6 weeks of starting.
- Strong proficiency with CRM platforms such as Eagle or HubSpot, Google Workspace, cloud telephony, and workflow tools like Trello.
- Comfortable recording and working with basic video content.
- Preferred background in real estate sales or property management, or strong business development experience from another industry with demonstrable results.
- Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills with an empathetic and persuasive phone manner.
- Mature, highly autonomous self-starter who takes ownership of results and works well under transparent KPIs.
- Reliable personal laptop or desktop, high-speed stable internet, and a backup plan for power or connectivity outages.
- A dedicated, quiet, and professional home office environment.
- Strong self-discipline and excellent time management skills for remote work.
Responsibilities
- Respond to all inbound property management leads within one hour across online channels, aggregator leads, and direct enquiries.
- Proactively mine existing databases, past appraisals, and lost leads to generate warm opportunities.
- Execute consistent follow-up strategies across 3 to 12 month sales cycles to position the team as a trusted advisor.
- Conduct comprehensive market appraisals and discuss management fees within agency guidelines.
- Sign high-margin management agreements once licensed.
- Produce high-converting point-of-sale materials, short educational videos, and warm follow-up sequences during non-calling hours.
- Engage existing client databases during onboarding to generate referrals, 5-star Google reviews, and client feedback.
- Participate in daily team meetings, maintain CRM logs, and submit structured end-of-day reports.
