About the role
As a Junior Internal Sales Consultant, you will be the first point of contact for customers phoning or emailing with product enquiries. You will follow up on leads, understand what customers need, and recommend the right electrical products and solutions.
You will prepare and send out quotations, proposals and sales orders, making sure everything is accurate and sent on time. Keeping customer records up to date and tracking sales activity will also be part of your daily tasks.
To do well here, you will need to learn the product range thoroughly so you can confidently advise customers on features and benefits. You will also work closely with internal departments to make sure the sales process runs smoothly from start to finish.
Requirements
- National Senior Certificate (Matric) or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification
- Minimum 2 years experience in internal sales or customer service, preferably within the electrical products or related industry
- Strong understanding of sales techniques and customer service principles
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literate and confident working with sales software and related systems
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritise and meet deadlines
- Proactive approach to identifying customer needs and providing effective solutions
- Professional, reliable and confident when dealing with customers and colleagues
Responsibilities
- Follow up on incoming sales enquiries and leads via telephone, email and other channels
- Engage with new and existing customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products
- Build and maintain positive client relationships to encourage repeat business
