About the role
Helderberg Personnel is looking for a recently qualified Chartered Accountant to join their client in Techno Park, Stellenbosch as a Financial Accountant. You will manage daily financial operations and ensure accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting.
What you will do:
- Capture customer and supplier invoices and process local and international bank payments
- Prepare journal entries up to trial balance level and complete general ledger operations
- Perform monthly customer and supplier reconciliations, bank reconciliations and account analyses
- Administer accounts receivable and payable functions to maintain positive cash flow
- Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs
- Analyse actual results against budgets and prior periods, investigating material variances
- Ensure compliance with VAT, PAYE, Income Tax and WCA requirements and submit VAT201 returns
- Support preparations for annual financial audits and B-BBEE audits
- Prepare rolling forecasts, financial models and scenario analyses for budgeting
- Provide ad hoc financial information and analysis to support management decisions

Requirements
- Degree in Financial Management or Accounting
- Completed SAIPA, CIMA or SAICA articles
- Accreditation as a Chartered Accountant
- At least 2 to 3 years experience as a Financial Accountant after completing articles
