About the role
This is a great opportunity to join a well established plumbing distributor based in Modderfontein, Johannesburg. As an Internal Sales Consultant, you will be the friendly voice and helping hand for customers calling, emailing, or walking in. Your day will involve assisting with product enquiries, preparing quotations, processing orders and making sure customers get accurate information and technical advice.
You will also work closely with the warehouse and procurement teams to check stock availability and delivery schedules. Building strong relationships with existing customers and spotting chances to introduce them to more products will be key to your success.
Please note: This is a permanent full time position. The salary is market related and will be discussed during the interview process.
Requirements
- Internal sales experience in hardware or plumbing within the wholesale sector
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities, with the ability to interpret sales data
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office applications
- Good product knowledge of plumbing supplies
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with product enquiries, pricing and availability
- Promote and sell plumbing products, fittings, pipes, valves, taps, sanitaryware and related items
- Prepare and follow up on quotations
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Handle incoming telephone calls, emails and walk in customer enquiries
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
- Identify opportunities to increase sales and introduce customers to additional products
- Follow up on outstanding quotations and prospective sales
- Liaise with the warehouse and procurement departments regarding stock availability and deliveries
- Ensure customers receive accurate product information and technical assistance
- Handle customer complaints and resolve queries professionally
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales documentation
