About the role
As an Insurance Sales Consultant, you will focus on hunting new business in the commercial insurance space. You will build strong relationships with business and corporate clients, offering tailored commercial, fleet and corporate insurance solutions.
What you will be doing:
- Hunt, source and convert your own new business through cold calling, networking and engaging decision makers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business and corporate clients
- Provide world class service to your portfolio of clients to ensure a low lapse rate
- Screen new business to ensure your portfolio does not pose a threat to the organisation's risk pool
- Deliver on business strategies and key deliverables
- Actively source and grow your portfolio of clients
This role is face to face and client focused, so you will need to be comfortable meeting clients in person and driving to meetings.
Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 / Standard 10 / NQF 4
- FAIS credits / Full Insurance Qualifications as per DOFA date
- Financial Services Board Regulatory Exams (RE5) completed as per DOFA date
- Minimum 1 year experience in a face to face sales role
- Ability to source and convert your own new business leads
- Experience in the commercial insurance industry is advantageous
- Valid code B driver's licence and own reliable vehicle
- Must be highly proficient in dealing with customers and staff at all levels
