Hello Hired is looking for a hands-on Fridge Mechanic to join their team in Gauteng. About the role
As a Fridge Mechanic with Hello Hired, you will be responsible for keeping refrigeration systems running smoothly across various industrial settings. Your day to day work will involve diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and performing preventative maintenance on a range of equipment.
You will work with ammonia refrigeration systems, general industrial refrigeration units such as multiplex and simplex systems, and truck refrigeration systems. Much of the work is in the meat industry, so you will need to be comfortable working in that environment.

Requirements
- Relevant hands-on experience in maintaining, diagnosing and repairing refrigeration equipment
- Knowledge and practical experience with ammonia refrigeration systems
- Experience with general industrial refrigeration, particularly in the meat industry, including multiplex and simplex refrigeration units
- Experience with truck refrigeration systems
- Ability to perform maintenance, fault-finding and repairs on refrigeration systems
- Ability to carry out preventative maintenance on refrigeration equipment
