About the role
Our client in New Zealand is expanding their team and needs experienced Industrial Carpenters to work on various industrial and commercial projects. You will be involved in general carpentry, maintenance and repair work, installing and fixing doors, walls, ceilings, flooring and other structural components. Some finishing work like painting and tiling may also be required.
You will read and interpret technical drawings, ensure work meets high safety and quality standards, and work both independently and as part of a team. This is a full time, permanent position offering a competitive salary based on your skills and experience. Relocation to New Zealand is required.
Requirements
- Proven carpentry experience in industrial, commercial or construction environments
- Strong knowledge of carpentry tools, equipment and building materials
- Ability to read and interpret building plans and technical drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and workmanship
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to work independently
- Valid passport or ability to obtain one
- Willingness to relocate to New Zealand
- Advantageous: industrial maintenance and repair experience, painting and tiling experience, experience in manufacturing plants, processing facilities, warehouses, mining or large commercial environments, relevant trade qualification or certification
