A logistics company is hiring an HR and Talent Acquisition Specialist to manage the full recruitment cycle and support day to day HR operations. This is a full time, on site role based in Durban, Johannesburg or Port Elizabeth. About the role
This role blends recruitment with general HR support for a logistics company. You will manage the full hiring process from placing adverts and screening CVs to negotiating offers and onboarding new staff. You will also be the go to person for employee queries on policies, benefits and workplace procedures.
What you will do day to day:
- Run the full recruitment lifecycle, including advertising roles, screening applications and coordinating interviews with hiring managers.
- Source both active and passive candidates using job portals and recruitment agency partners.
- Facilitate offer negotiations and manage onboarding workflows for new hires.
- Build and maintain a talent pipeline for high demand operational and administrative roles.
- Serve as the main contact for employee questions about company policies, benefits and procedures.
- Support employee relations, performance management and disciplinary processes in line with the BCEA and LRA.
- Keep employee records and HR databases accurate and compliant with data privacy standards.
- Help coordinate training, development and employee wellness initiatives.
Requirements
- National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience as an HR Generalist and Talent Acquisition Specialist, ideally in logistics, transport or supply chain.
- Solid working knowledge of South African labour laws including the LRA, BCEA and EEA.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong sourcing abilities using platforms like PNet, LinkedIn and internal databases.
- High attention to detail with strong administrative and organisational capabilities.
