Success Guide
Applying for this role at Dis-Chem Cape Road is a good chance to get your foot in the door with a major retailer. When you put together your CV, highlight any retail experience you have, even if it was just a few months or volunteer work at a church shop or spaza. Also mention if you are good with customers and can work weekends. Make sure your CV is clean and error free, and if you have a matric certificate, attach a copy.
At the interview they will likely ask about a time you helped a customer or solved a problem. Think of a simple example ahead of time. Also show you understand that merchandising is about keeping shelves neat and stocked. If you live close to Gqeberha or have reliable transport to Cape Road, say so, because that counts in your favour. Bring a positive attitude and be honest about what you know. You do not need to have all the experience, just show you are willing to learn and work hard.
