A market leading international manufacturing company in Germiston is looking for a qualified CA(SA) to take full charge of its finance function. You will report directly to executive leadership, manage a small finance team, and partner with local and international stakeholders. About the role
MAPEI South Africa, a market leading international manufacturing organisation based in Germiston, is seeking a commercially astute Head of Finance to lead its finance function. This senior role reports directly to executive leadership and carries full responsibility for the financial health, reporting, controls, compliance, cash flow management, and strategic financial direction of the business.
You will manage a team of three direct reports and work closely with both local and international stakeholders. The position is suited to a qualified CA(SA) with substantial manufacturing experience who is confident operating at a senior leadership level, influencing business decisions, and leading high performing finance teams.

Requirements
- CA(SA) qualification is non negotiable
- Minimum 10 years of finance experience
- Minimum 5 years in a management or leadership role
- Proven manufacturing or production industry experience is essential
- Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis background
- Experience managing finance teams
- Strong understanding of compliance, taxation, treasury, and cash flow management
- Experience within a multinational or group reporting environment advantageous
- ERP systems experience essential
Responsibilities
- Drive the overall financial strategy and performance of the business
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes
- Prepare and present accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Analyse financial performance, investigate variances, and recommend improvements
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, working capital, and treasury functions
- Ensure strong financial controls and governance across the organisation
- Oversee statutory reporting, financial statements, audits, VAT, tax, and compliance requirements
- Maintain and improve financial systems, processes, and reporting structures
- Manage credit control, receivables, collections, and financial risk exposure
- Develop financial models, forecasts, and strategic business analyses
- Partner with executive management on key commercial and operational decisions
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team
- Drive cost control initiatives and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
- Ensure compliance with group accounting policies, local regulations, and reporting requirements
