About the role
Our client, a leading non profit organisation, is seeking a Head of Finance and Operations Management to join their team in Cape Town. This is a permanent, full time position where you will play a key role in driving strategic leadership and planning across the organisation.
You will be responsible for financial and budget management and reporting, governance and compliance, operations management, people management, and partnership management. The role requires a strong interest in basic education and a deep understanding of the South African educational landscape. You will lead at Exco level, providing financial analysis on funding requirements for programmes and ensuring the organisation runs smoothly and compliantly.
Requirements
- Postgraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
- CA(SA) qualification
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in financial and operational management
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience operating and leading at Exco level
- Strong interest in the field of basic education and understanding of the South African educational landscape
- Strong financial analysis skills for funding requirements of programmes
- Advanced specialised computer literacy and knowledge of financial management systems
