About the role
As a Group Accountant, you will play a key role in managing the financial health of the group. You will oversee the overall accounting function, lead the bookkeeping team, and ensure that all financial deadlines are met. You will also liaise with auditors, manage tax compliance with SARS, and take on additional responsibilities such as project management, costings, inventory control, property management, and governance.
This is a permanent, full time position based in New Germany, KwaZulu Natal.
Requirements
- B degree with Accounting as a major
- 5 to 6 years of experience in a senior accounting role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Experience with tax compliance and SARS
- Ability to manage and lead a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy
