Overview
A senior payroll leadership role for someone who can make global payroll scale with growth. You will set multi-year strategy, lead acquisition integrations, manage global service providers and present to senior leadership. This is a hybrid role based in Cape Town within a multi-jurisdictional professional services organisation. It suits an experienced payroll leader with at least 10 years in the field, including global payroll and team leadership experience.
About the role
This is a chance to shape how a multi-jurisdictional professional services organisation manages payroll across the world. You will report into a collaborative HR and Reward environment where sensitive employee data and regulatory compliance demand consistently high standards.
You can expect to:
- Set the multi-year global payroll strategy and build a scalable operating model
- Lead acquisition integrations across multiple jurisdictions
- Own governance, controls and the payroll technology roadmap
- Act as senior payroll adviser to leadership on risks and performance
- Manage and develop a geographically dispersed payroll team
- Hold global service providers accountable against agreed standards

Requirements
- A relevant accounting qualification or a bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, finance or a related field is essential
- A master's degree is preferred
- At least 10 years of payroll or similar experience within professional services, including leadership responsibility
- Established global payroll experience covering global team management, regulations, statutory reporting and payroll systems
- Strength in payroll analytics and project management
- Clear executive communication skills
- Cross-cultural collaboration ability
- Willingness and ability to travel to the UK and USA at some stage
