About the role
You will join a small Johannesburg based team working on an AI powered CRM and compliance platform for healthcare and education recruitment. The product serves agencies around the world and includes advanced document processing, real time candidate matching and intelligent automation.
What the day to day looks like:
- Write and review code across the backend (Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript) and frontend (React, TypeScript).
- Build AI powered recruitment features and intuitive user interfaces for CRM and compliance workflows.
- Work on real time collaboration and WebSocket features.
- Assist with data processing pipelines using pair programming.
- Take part in microservices architecture discussions and API integrations.
- Help optimise databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and caching strategies.
- Support Kubernetes deployment, CI/CD pipelines and monitoring systems.
- Get exposure to multi cloud infrastructure tasks with Terraform.

Requirements
- 5 to 10 years of full stack development experience.
- Solid TypeScript and Node.js development skills.
- React proficiency with modern frontend practices.
- Database experience and SQL knowledge, PostgreSQL preferred.
- API development and RESTful services understanding.
- Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills for team work.
- Nice to have experience with AWS or GCP, Docker and Kubernetes, Terraform, WebSockets and event driven architecture.
- Nice to have exposure to React Native, RabbitMQ, Python, and microservices.
