About the role
Agritalent is seeking a Full Stack Engineer for an exciting opportunity with a leading agribusiness client. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting and improving the Milas platform and its related applications, databases, integrations and reporting components.

- Monitoring and supporting Milas applications to keep business operations running smoothly
- Investigating incidents and service requests, and implementing long term fixes
- Analysing business requirements and system changes to spot potential impacts
- Designing and developing secure, maintainable system enhancements

- Documenting application architecture, business rules and integrations

Requirements
- A minimum of five years experience as a programmer or software developer
- Strong SQL, database analysis and troubleshooting skills
- Practical programming experience in one or more of the following: C++, C, C#, Java and SQL
- Sound understanding of the software development lifecycle, system integrations, source code management, testing, deployment and application support
- Willingness to learn COBOL, the specialised Milas development toolkit and its architecture
- A bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Science will be advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem solving ability
- Ability to produce clean, secure, reusable and maintainable code
- Good technical documentation and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Monitor and support Milas applications, databases, integrations and reporting components
- Investigate incidents and service requests, conduct root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions
- Analyse business requirements and system changes to identify impacts across processes and integrations
- Collaborate with Animal Feeds stakeholders and internal IT teams, escalating critical incidents appropriately
- Translate business requirements into secure, maintainable and user friendly system enhancements
- Design, develop, test and implement solutions using structured and reusable coding practices
- Participate in code reviews, debugging and defect resolution
- Identify opportunities to modernise Milas and its integrations and reporting components
- Document application architecture, business rules, integrations, configurations and deployments
- Share knowledge through documentation, walkthroughs and collaboration
- Apply IT governance, information security and change control requirements
- Maintain controls over application access, elevated rights and production deployments
