Success Guide
This is a great foot in the door if you have cashier experience and want to move into a supervisory role. When you apply, highlight any time you have covered for a supervisor or trained new staff, even if it was informal. Dis-Chem looks for people who are honest, good with numbers, and comfortable working retail hours, including weekends and public holidays. In the interview, be ready to explain how you handle a customer complaint or a cash discrepancy at the till. Also make sure your CV clearly shows your Grade 12 certificate and any cashier jobs with dates. It might help to mention if you have SAP experience, as that is listed as an advantage. Good luck!
