Overview
A senior finance role for a qualified CA(SA) with 5 to 8 years of management experience. You will lead the full finance function for a franchise business in Johannesburg North, working closely with the Board and executive team on strategy, reporting, cash flow, audits, tax and B-BBEE targets. This is a permanent, full time position that combines hands on financial oversight with executive level influence.
About the role
Our client is looking for an experienced Franchise Financial Manager to take ownership of the financial, administrative and risk management functions of the business. This senior role blends strategic financial planning with practical oversight, ensuring accurate reporting, strong cash flow management, sound internal controls and full regulatory compliance.
You will work closely with executive management and the Board of Directors, helping to shape financial strategy, improve operational performance and safeguard the organisation's assets. The position also carries responsibility for leading the accounting function and driving the company's B-BBEE objectives.
- Develop and implement financial strategies, budgeting and forecasting
- Compile and review monthly management accounts, Board packs and reports to Nashua (Pty) Ltd
- Monitor daily cash positions, oversee accounts payable and receivable, and manage working capital
- Lead the accounting department and coordinate annual external audits
- Oversee tax management, financial controls, risk and insurance, and IFRS and FICA compliance
- Serve as the company's FICA Compliance Officer
- Contribute to executive decisions, oversee the contracts department and support Employment Equity and B-BBEE targets

Requirements
- CA(SA) qualification
- 5 to 8 years of management experience, preferably in a senior financial management environment
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and financial analysis
- Working knowledge of Sage X3
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience overseeing audits, taxation, financial controls, risk management and regulatory compliance
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to prioritise effectively, work under pressure and take initiative
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies, oversee budgeting and forecasting, manage capital requests and establish performance measures aligned with business objectives
- Compile, review and approve monthly management accounts, Board packs and reports to Nashua (Pty) Ltd
- Monitor daily cash positions and forecasts, oversee accounts payable and receivable, manage reconciliations and ensure effective working capital management
- Lead the accounting department, coordinate annual external audits, review audit packs and ensure financial records are accurate and submitted on time
- Oversee tax management, maintain effective financial controls, monitor the company risk profile and insurance coverage, and ensure compliance with IFRS, FICA and governance requirements
- Act as the company's FICA Compliance Officer
- Contribute to executive level decisions, maintain strong relationships with management and the Board, oversee the contracts department, support the Employment Equity plan and drive B-BBEE targets
