Success Guide
For a role like this, your CV needs to do more than list duties. Highlight specific financial models you have built, budgets you have managed, and times you influenced a business decision with your analysis. If you have completed SAICA or SAIPA articles, mention that up front as it is a strong advantage here.
In the interview, be ready to walk through a forecasting or variance analysis example from start to finish. They will want to see how you think and how you communicate insights to non-finance stakeholders. Also be prepared to discuss your Excel skills in practical terms, such as complex formulas, pivot tables, or any reporting tools you have used.
Make sure your application clearly shows you have the minimum three years of FP&A or commercial finance experience, as that is a firm requirement for this position.
