Success Guide

When you apply for this forklift technician role, make your CV stand out by listing the specific forklift brands you have worked on (for example Toyota, Hyster, Linde or Crown) and the types of repairs you have done on electric, diesel and LPG machines. The employer wants to see hands on experience, so include details like engine overhauls, hydraulic repairs, electrical fault finding and any welding or fabrication work.

Prepare copies of your trade test certificate, driver's licence and a professional head and shoulders photo. Bring contactable references from previous workshops or supervisors. In an interview, be ready to explain how you diagnose a fault step by step and how you keep your workspace safe. Show that you can work independently but also communicate well with the team. This is a permanent role with a realistic salary for a qualified artisan, so highlight your reliability and problem solving skills.
