About the role
As a Fleet Controller at Contract Truck Hire, you will take charge of the daily operations of a fleet of more than 400 vehicles. Your main focus will be keeping everything on the road and running efficiently, with minimal downtime.

Requirements
- Previous experience as a Fleet Controller with a proven track record of managing large fleets (preferably 400+ vehicles)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal teams, drivers, and external partners
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities to handle high volumes of tasks
- Effective problem solving skills to resolve fleet issues quickly and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail to ensure compliance with maintenance schedules and regulatory requirements

Responsibilities
- Oversee the day to day operations of a fleet of 400+ vehicles, ensuring smooth functioning and minimal downtime
- Monitor vehicle locations, maintenance schedules, and fuel consumption to optimise fleet efficiency
- Ensure regular vehicle servicing, inspections, and repairs are carried out according to maintenance schedules
- Liaise with drivers, suppliers, and the internal team to ensure effective communication regarding vehicle status, maintenance, and logistics
- Ensure all vehicles comply with legal, safety, and regulatory requirements, including licenses, permits, and insurance
- Generate and maintain accurate reports on fleet performance, maintenance records, and any issues related to the fleet
- Quickly identify and resolve any fleet related issues, including breakdowns or service disruptions
- Work with the team to implement strategies to reduce operating costs and improve fleet performance
