Success Guide
This is a senior role, so your application needs to show more than just numbers. Highlight your construction industry experience and any work you have done with BuildSmart or similar project accounting systems. The company wants someone who can lead a team but also get hands-on when needed, so share examples of how you have improved financial processes or managed cash flow on projects. Make sure your CV clearly states your years of experience and your qualifications. If you have a CA(SA) or CIMA designation, put that near the top. Also, prepare for questions about how you handle multiple stakeholders, from site managers to executives. The salary is strong for this level, so expect competition. Tailor your cover letter to show you understand the unique financial pressures of construction, like project costing and retention. Good luck.
