About the role
Our client, a well-established organisation in the mining and manufacturing space, is seeking a Financial Controller who can bring strong technical accounting knowledge, commercial awareness and a keen eye for financial controls. This role is based in Johannesburg East.
As Financial Controller, you will oversee key financial control functions, ensuring accurate reporting, strong cash flow management and a robust control environment. You will play a key role in a growing, operationally driven business focused on operational excellence and sustainable growth.

Requirements
- 2 to 3 years post-articles experience
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly IFRS and Tax
- Ability to oversee financial control functions and ensure accurate reporting
- Experience with cash flow management, working capital and liquidity requirements
- Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and variance investigation
- Knowledge of internal financial controls
Responsibilities
- Oversee the financial control function and ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Apply strong knowledge of IFRS and taxation across the finance function
- Manage and monitor cash flow, working capital and liquidity requirements
- Review and oversee balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
- Review journals and ensure appropriate supporting documentation and controls are in place
- Strengthen and maintain effective internal financial controls
