Success Guide
Applying for a financial adviser role at Absa means showing you understand both the advice process and the compliance side. Make sure your CV clearly states your NQF 5 qualification, your 120 FAIS credits, and your RE 5 certification, because these are non negotiable for a FAIS licensed role. If you have worked with long term insurance or investments before, highlight specific examples of client needs analyses you have done and products you have recommended. In an interview, expect questions about the six steps of financial planning and how you handle clients who are unsure about advice. Be ready to talk about how you build trust with bank clients and how you manage your sales pipeline. Absa is a large bank, so showing that you can work with different stakeholders like bank staff and product providers will help your application stand out.
