Overview
A growing organisation in Johannesburg East is looking for a hands on Financial Accountant who has completed SAIPA Articles. You will own the full finance function, from processing and reconciliations through to management accounts and VAT returns. This is a great fit for a detail oriented professional who enjoys variety and wants to make a real impact in a permanent, full time role with a salary of R400 000 to R450 000 per year.
About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an accounting professional who wants to take ownership of the full finance function within a well established and growing organisation based in Johannesburg East. You will be involved in every aspect of accounting, from transaction processing and reconciliations through to reporting, compliance and month end management.
What you can expect to do:
- Manage the complete accounting function from source documents through to reporting
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Oversee month end and year end close procedures
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and related statutory requirements
The successful candidate will be a hands on finance professional who can confidently maintain strong financial controls and contribute to the overall success of the business.

Requirements
- Completed BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Completed SAIPA Articles (non negotiable)
- Proven experience within a Financial Accountant or Accountant role
- Strong experience managing the full accounting function
