About the role
This role is with an international business and trade organisation that supports cross border commercial activity and service based projects. You will take ownership of the full accounting cycle and be the person who turns the ledger into operational leverage by keeping project costs visible and controlled.
What you will be doing:
- Manage general ledger entries, reconciliations and month end close through to financial statements and management accounts.
- Oversee receivables, payables, cash flow, fixed assets, budgets and forecasts.
- Strengthen project costing so decision makers have clear insight into project performance.
- Coordinate audits and statutory reporting.
- Handle electronic payments and financial analysis.
- Drive process improvements across the organisation.

Requirements
- A degree is essential.
- Approximately 5 to 7 years of full function accounting experience through to financial statements.
- Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, project costing, debtors, creditors and basic payroll.
- Strong ERP accounting system capability.
- Advanced spreadsheet skills.
- Careful judgement and excellent stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously with accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Analytical, honest and precise in your work.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the full accounting cycle including general ledger entries and reconciliations.
- Complete month end close and prepare financial statements and management accounts.
- Manage receivables, payables and cash flow.
- Maintain fixed assets, budgets and forecasts.
- Strengthen project costing to give decision makers clearer insight into project performance.

- Identify and implement process improvements across the organisation.
