About the role
As a Field Sales Agent at Smollan Financial Services, you will be the face of the company in your region, helping customers understand and access financial products that suit their needs. You will spend your days engaging with potential clients, managing existing accounts and making sure every interaction leaves the customer feeling valued and informed.
What you will be doing:
- Actively hunting for new business and building a pipeline of prospective clients through networking, referrals and outreach
- Setting up and running sales presentations and product demonstrations that clearly show the benefits of the financial services on offer
- Looking after your own portfolio of clients, building strong relationships and making sure they stay happy and loyal
- Following up on client requests, sorting out any issues quickly and providing excellent after sales support
- Keeping detailed records of your sales activities and client interactions, and submitting regular reports to management
- Staying on top of industry trends and regulations so you can give clients accurate advice and stay compliant
This role is based in Bloemfontein and is a permanent, full time position. You will need to be comfortable working in the field and meeting clients face to face.
Requirements
- National Matric Certificate (Grade 12 or NQF level 4)
- A Diploma or Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or a related field (NQF 5) is a must
- 2 to 4 years of experience in sales or customer service is advantageous
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets (preferred)
- Strong background in consultative selling and relationship building
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own time
- Knowledge of financial products and services would be beneficial
- Must be based in or willing to travel around Bloemfontein
Responsibilities
- Seek out new business opportunities and engage with potential clients to drive sales of financial products
- Identify and pursue leads to build a pipeline of prospective customers
- Conduct sales presentations, product demonstrations and consultations with clients
- Manage client accounts and build lasting relationships to maximise sales opportunities
- Provide exceptional service to new and existing clients, responding promptly to their needs
- Offer tailored financial solutions that meet clients' specific goals
- Follow up on client requests and ensure timely resolution of issues
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
- Provide after sales support and resolve any post purchase issues
- Develop a deep understanding of the company's financial products and services
- Educate clients on product features, benefits and terms
- Stay up to date with industry trends, market developments and competitor products
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions and product usage
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports and activity summaries to management
- Complete and maintain client records in CRM systems
- Manage administrative tasks related to the sales process, including proposals, contracts and service agreements
- Ensure all sales activities comply with relevant regulations and internal policies
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with the sale of financial products
- Provide clients with clear and accurate information to avoid mis selling
- Stay informed about regulatory changes in the financial services industry
