Success Guide
This is a serious role for an experienced adviser, so make sure your CV clearly shows your FAIS Fit & Proper status and your RE5 certification. Absa will verify these, so include your registration details or copies of your certificates upfront.
Your track record matters here. Highlight specific sales figures, client portfolios you have managed, and examples of how you have grown business. If you have an existing client base, mention it, as this is an advantage.
The role is fully commission-based, which means your earnings are in your hands. In your interview, be ready to talk about how you plan to build and sustain your pipeline. Show that you understand the compliance side of financial advice, because Absa operates in a highly regulated space.
It also helps to demonstrate your knowledge of Absa's product range and the South African financial services market. Arrive with a clear idea of the clients you would target and how you would approach them. Good luck!
