Success Guide

If you have spent years on electrical construction sites and are ready to step into a supervisory role, this Durban position is worth a serious look. Your Trade Test certificate and driver's license should be front and centre of your CV. Make sure you clearly list the commercial projects you have worked on, especially hospitals, office blocks or shopping centres, because that experience matters here. Also show how you have led teams and handled fault finding under pressure.

If you have a Wireman's License, even if it is still in progress, mention it. In the interview, be ready to talk through a tricky electrical fault you solved on a commercial site and explain how you keep teams safe and productive. Being practical and specific about your site experience will set you apart.
