About the role
Our client, a well established name in refrigeration, ammonia refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heating, is looking for a dedicated Estimator to join their Pietermaritzburg office.
In this role you will be at the heart of project planning and pricing. You will extract information from drawings, feed it into pricing programs, and work with suppliers to source resources and negotiate costs. You will also handle tender pricing, manage project costs, and assist with planning and logistics.

Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Minimum 2 years experience in an estimator, buyer, or quoting environment
- Previous experience as a cost estimator or in quoting and pricing
- Strong MS Excel skills are very important
- Basic understanding of drawings and engineering is an advantage
- HVAC experience or qualification is very advantageous
- Must be able to work in Pietermaritzburg
- Software proficiency
- Ability to negotiate with suppliers and source resources
