About the role
CFS Recruitment is looking for a motivated Compliance Officer to join their team in Roodepoort on a permanent basis. This is an entry level role reporting to the Financial Manager, giving you a solid foundation in compliance risk management within the insurance sector.

Requirements
- Class of Business Commercial Lines
- Risk, Governance and Compliance qualification
- Compliance Risk Management Plans qualification
- LLB degree
- FSCA Phase 1 approval as a Compliance Officer
- Up to 2 years experience in compliance risk management, regulatory monitoring, and regulatory reporting
- Industry experience in insurance
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain the compliance management framework
- Develop and execute compliance risk management and monitoring plans
- Conduct compliance reviews, testing, and file sampling
- Manage regional compliance functions and external compliance providers
- Assist business units in mitigating compliance risks
- Perform SOP compliance testing and track corrective actions
- Draft, implement, and maintain compliance policies
- Deliver compliance training and regulatory awareness programmes
- Provide guidance on compliance related queries
- Promote a strong compliance and customer centric culture
- Monitor business practices for compliance risks and potential customer harm
- Escalate compliance and conduct concerns where required
