About the role
Netcare Alberlito Hospital is hiring an Enrolled Nurse for their Theatre department. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team, supporting registered nurses and doctors before, during and after surgical procedures.
This is a full time, on site position at a private hospital within the Netcare Group, one of South Africa's largest private healthcare providers. Theatre nursing is fast paced and hands on, so you will need to stay calm under pressure and work well in a team.

Requirements
- Registered as an Enrolled Nurse with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
- Qualification as an Enrolled Nurse
- Experience in a theatre or perioperative environment will be an advantage
- Ability to work shifts and be on call as required
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Compassionate and patient focused approach to care
Responsibilities
- Prepare the theatre and equipment before surgical procedures
- Assist the surgical team during operations by handing instruments and supplies
- Monitor patients before, during and after surgery
- Maintain a sterile field and follow infection control procedures
- Keep accurate patient records and theatre documentation
- Support registered nurses and doctors with patient care tasks
- Sterilise and store surgical instruments correctly
