About the role
Life Healthcare Group is looking for an Enrolled Nurse to join our Surgical ICU in Johannesburg. As an Enrolled Nurse in the ICU, you will work under the supervision of Registered Nurses and play a key role in providing quality patient care to critically ill surgical patients.
Your day to day tasks will involve monitoring patients, administering medication, assisting with procedures, and supporting the nursing team in maintaining a safe and hygienic environment. You will also communicate with patients' families and keep accurate records.
This is a full time on site position based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. You will be part of a large and supportive healthcare team.
Requirements
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council as an Enrolled Nurse
- Prior experience in an ICU or high care setting is advantageous
- Strong clinical skills and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to work shifts
Responsibilities
- Provide basic nursing care to patients in the Surgical ICU
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and progress
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed
