About the role
As an Enrolled Nurse in the AICU, you will take responsibility for both direct and indirect nursing care of patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, according to the scope of practice for an Enrolled Nurse. You will work within a hospital group environment in Mafikeng, North West, and play a key role in delivering quality patient care.
Key duties include:
- Performing all duties in line with SANC, DOH and National Core Standards
- Adhering to patient advocacy principles and the company Code of Conduct
- Planning, organising and prioritising your work to complete tasks efficiently
- Maintaining a safe, therapeutic and clean environment free from medico legal hazards
- Documenting patient care accurately in patient and department records
- Delivering a positive patient experience by putting patients first
- Informing and educating patients about the complaints procedure and My Voice platform
- Following Lean management principles to reduce wastage without compromising care
- Working as part of a team to achieve unit goals
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Enrolled Nursing qualification
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
- BLS qualification
- 3 or more years of relevant nursing experience based on area of specialisation
- Experience in a private hospital environment is advantageous
- Computer proficiency is advantageous
