About the role
Golden Arrow Bus Services is seeking an experienced Engineering Workshop Supervisor to join their team in Cape Town. As a Supervisor in the Engineering department, you will be responsible for overseeing daily workshop operations and leading a team of artisans and support staff.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise staff in all workshop activities
- Ensure all statutory and legal requirements are met
- Provide on-the-job training to workshop staff
- Maintain good industrial relations
- Maintain good housekeeping and safe work conditions
- Meet production targets
- Maintain and manage budgets, KPIs and cost control
- Propose and implement cost saving initiatives
Requirements
- Qualified artisan with 5 years' experience
- 3 years supervisory experience
- Code EC/C licence
- Completed a relevant Tertiary Diploma
- Degree in Transport or Business Management advantageous
- Decision making skills
- Planning and organising skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills
