Success Guide

This role is perfect for a qualified electrician who wants to step off the tools and into training. When you apply, highlight your trade test qualification and any experience you have teaching, mentoring, or assessing learners. If you have assessor or moderator certificates, make sure those are front and centre on your CV.

Think about how you would explain a simple electrical concept to someone who has never held a multimeter. That is the kind of communication skill the employer will be looking for. At the interview, expect questions about your own workshop experience, how you handle safety, and how you would support a learner who is struggling. A calm, patient approach goes a long way in this role.
