About the role
The South African Reserve Bank is looking for a Divisional Head to lead its Security Operations Division in Pretoria. In this role you will provide strategic direction and governance for security operations across the SARB Group, ensuring the protection of people, visitors, contractors, information and assets at all facilities.
You will develop and implement the divisional operational plan, oversee budget and resource management, and build a strong performance culture within your team. You will also manage key stakeholder relationships and ensure that all operational personnel meet Fit-for-Deployment standards.

Requirements
- A relevant postgraduate degree (NQF 8) in management, security or an equivalent qualification
- A minimum of 10 years experience in security management
- At least 5 years in a senior management position
- Sound knowledge and experience in all aspects of security management, including high value asset transportation, facilities protection, VIP protection, legal aspects, risk management and stakeholder management
- Ability to manage and lead diverse, multidisciplinary teams across different fields
- Strong strategic thinking and the ability to drive results
- Proven ability to lead change and manage complexity and ambiguity
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Sound judgement and decision making abilities
- Commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion and developing others
Responsibilities
- Provide input into departmental strategy and policies, ensuring alignment with the overall SARB strategy
- Formulate divisional strategy and policies and provide direction into governance for the Security Operations Division
- Develop and implement the divisional operational plan to achieve strategic and operational objectives
- Ensure compliance with policy, procedures and audit findings to mitigate risk
- Create a performance culture, define performance expectations and manage direct reports effectively
- Oversee divisional cost centres and budget expenditure within policy and directives
- Oversee the provision of physical and advanced security operations for SARB Group facilities, covering personnel, visitors, contractors, information and assets
- Lead the development and maintenance of stakeholder relationships to enhance optimal functionality
- Oversee the management of financial, human and capital resources for the security operations function
- Ensure all operational personnel are fully compliant with Fit for Deployment standards
