About the role
As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing and repair of the company's fleet and specialised equipment, including mobile cranes and other heavy machinery. You will play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly by minimising equipment downtime through effective maintenance planning.
Key duties include:
- Performing routine servicing and preventative maintenance on company vehicles
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults on diesel powered equipment
- Conducting inspections and breakdown repairs
- Maintaining and repairing mobile cranes and other heavy equipment
- Completing maintenance records and job reports accurately
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
- Assisting in minimising equipment downtime through effective maintenance planning

Requirements
- Red Seal Trade Test qualification as a Diesel Mechanic
- Computer literate
- Valid driver's license advantageous
- Strong mechanical fault finding and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Strong problem solving and diagnostic skills
- Attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Reliable and self motivated
